Why do energy saver bulbs give off more light??

A couple of days ago l installed the curly type energy saving light bulbs 
Acey
in my apartment and l noticed they give off more light than the old

bulbs.l know their safe, but can anyone explain why they glow

you might have just bought a higher lumens bulb than normal, too.

Because they are flourescent bulbs...artificial light made by

energy colliding with gas. The old bulbs are natural light...or closest to

Basically, in layman is terms, because it is easier to make a

gas vibrate in the visible frequency range than a piece of metal.

Tungsten filaments create much more heat than light.

It may be that the light is more pure white than bulbs which

are more yellowish.

LED Lights are even more pure white, so it is likely the shading and
